MA Jameel Scholarships

With the help of a very generous gift to the University, The MA Jameel Scholarships have been established to enable the very best students to come to Cardiff – those who have the intellect and determination to apply their knowledge for the benefit of Muslim communities in the UK, and to promote better understanding of Islam in wider society.

Applications are invited for 3 MA Jameel Scholarships available for the forthcoming academic year on the MA in Islam in Contemporary Britain

Eligibility

• A first class or very high upper-second class honours degree or equivalent in a relevant subject from a recognised university
• Full awards are open only to UK and EU nationals who satisfy UK residency requirements
• Evidence of a clear ambition to develop an academic research career in the area of Islam and Muslims in Britain
• Priority will be given to candidates with a proven track-record of interest in, and/or enthusiasm for, working with British Muslims
  

Each MA Jameel Scholarship will comprise:

• Full-time Cardiff University MA fees
• Living allowance of £14800
• Research allowance of up to £1800
